Village Manager Job Description


Economic Vitality Incentive Program

Earlier this year, the legislature discontinued the statutory revenue sharing program for local governments.  After cutting 1/3 of the previous amount allocate to this program, a new program was created called the Economic Vitality Incentive Program (EVIP), which is open to those communities that were eligible for statutory revenue sharing.  Eligible communities are required to meet the following requirements to receive the amount allocated to it under the EVIP:

  • Creation of a Citizen's Guide to Local Government Financials and the creation of a Performance Dashboard (due by 10/1/2011)
  • Creation of a plan that leads to increased service cooperation or consolidation (due by 1/2012)
  • Changes retirement and health insurance coverage provided to local government employees (due by May 2012)

Quincy will receive $16,909 for each requirement that is a met, for a total of $50,727 in the 2011-2012 Fiscal Year.
