2009 FOOD DRIVE
Beginning November 1st, 2009, the Village of Quincy will be collecting non-perishable food items and monetary donations for Son Shine Ministries, located in Quincy. Donations can be dropped off at the Village of Quincy Administration Office,
Monday thru Thursday, from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. until Thursday, December 19th, 2009.
UPCOMING EVENTS

The Quincy Chamber of Commerce Tree Lighting will be held on Saturday, December 5th, 2009 beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the downtown courtyard park with a dedication being provided by Dr. Rev. Scott Arnold. Holiday music, carolers, and the arrival of Santa Claus have been scheduled. Children will be able to visit with Santa and have their pictures taken along with Kid's Christmas cookie decorating fun. A Live Nativity and a Luminary Candle Walk along with local merchant specials have been planned for this event. Please join your neighbors and friends welcoming the holiday season.

The Quincy Historical Society will hold an open house at 10 East Jefferson Street on
Saturday, December 5th until 7:00 p.m. and extends a welcome to everyone .

The Quincy Historical Society and the Branch County Historical Society will host a tour of homes and public buildings in Coldwater and the Village of Quincy. The homes and public buildings will be open for tours from 12:00 noon to 7:00 p.m. During the same hours, an old fashioned wassail will be held at the Wing House museum located at 27 South Jefferson Street, Coldwater.

In Quincy, homes of Victorian and craftsman architectural styles will be featured. The Quincy Library will display civil ware artifacts and recently restored historical Union flags. The tour includes a stop at the 100-year-old Methodist Church building highlighted by its recently restored stained glass windows.
