The Quincy Downtown Development Authority (DDA), Village residents, area business owners, Village Council ,and Village staff have been working to develop a vision for the redevelopment of the Northeast block of downtown. Under the direction of Mark Miller, Project Manager from Nederveld, a design was developed from conversations with the DDA Board, local residents, business owners, and the Village. This plan was posted for public comment at the Quincy Business Expo and on the Village's Facebook page.
After reviewing feedback from each group involved in the process, a final design is now available. The Village Council will review the plan at its June 5, 2017 workshop and will consider its adoption at the June 19, 2017 Council Meeting. Upon final approval, Village staff will start to work on the implementation phase of the plan. Anyone interested in participating in the redevelopment of the northeast block is encouraged to contact the Village Manager at 517-639-9065, x11 or E-Mail.
Village staff are working on an update to the DDA Development and TIF Plan. This update will incorporate the northeast block plan and other ideas for the redevelopment of downtown Quincy. Please contact the VIllage Manager for more information.
